Introducing the Old Sparky commemorative coin. This 2” and 3.5mm thick coin is part of the Narco Warrior humorous challenge coin series and is serialized. Old Sparky was created in 1890 and last used in 2018. During these 128 years a total of 4,374 individuals were put to death by Old Sparky.

"Old Sparky" is a colloquial term often used to refer to various electric chairs that were historically used for capital punishment in the United States. These chairs typically consisted of a wooden or metal frame with restraints to secure the condemned person. When in use, a powerful electric current would be passed through the person's body, leading to electrocution and ultimately execution. "Old Sparky" became a symbol of the controversial and often gruesome history of the death penalty in the United States, with several states discontinuing its use in favor of other execution methods, such as lethal injection.
